Huda Beauty & Saint Levant: Music, Culture, Purpose

This summer, beauty meets culture in the best way possible. Huda Beauty has teamed up with Palestinian–French–Algerian artist Saint Levant for something that goes way beyond gloss. Introducing KALAMANTINA, a limited-edition lip oil that’s as meaningful as it is chic.

The Story Behind Kalamantina

Named after Saint Levant’s track “Kalamantina”, the lip oil is a cheeky twist on “clementine”— a sweet citrus fruit that echoes Palestine’s rich farming legacy, especially the iconic Jaffa oranges.

Saint Levant, born Marwan Abdelhamid in Jerusalem and raised between Gaza, Jordan, and the US, uses his trilingual music (Arabic, French, English) to share his story and culture. His song “Kalamantina” is part sun-drenched fun and part nostalgic nod to homeland roots.

A Collab with Cause

Huda Kattan, who’s been outspoken about Palestine — even donating $1 million to humanitarian efforts in 2023 — is doubling down with this drop. Part of KALAMANTINA’s proceeds will support Palestinian farmers and cultural preservation initiatives.

How the Campaign Popped Off

In the week leading up to the launch, Huda Beauty and Saint Levant shared playful Instagram clips showing them dancing to “Kalamantina,” alongside visuals of a vintage car filled with clementines and close-ups of fruit tagged with “Grown by Huda n’ Saint Levant” stickers. The campaign’s warm orange tones perfectly match the lip oil’s citrus scent, creating a nostalgic and sunny vibe full of cultural warmth.

Huda and Saint Levant’s joyful behind-the-scenes moments—dancing, laughing, and connecting—add a genuine, personal touch. Through the clever use of “Kalamantina” (clementine), both the song and the product celebrate self-acceptance, heritage, and deep cultural pride.

I hope you enjoyed this breakdown — personally, this campaign totally got its vibe across to me.
